Apply: The fourth section offers tips for application of what you learned into your classroom, or on your campus. Like the second section recommendations for application and sharing your knowledge were made by the content section authors. These opportunities to apply or share what you have learned can be vital to your making the new found knowledge yours.
As the much quoted D.G. Treichler pointed out in 1967,
we remember:

- 10% of what we read;
- 20% of what we hear;
- 30% of what we see;
- 50% of what we both see and hear;
- 70% of what we discuss with people whose opinions we value;
- 80% of what we personally experience; and
- 90% of what we teach to other people.
