Disruptive Students Behavior
Always document incidents of disruptive behavior.
Never take things personally and never lose your professional
decorum. Remember to always follow procedure. Gail Tennen of the
English department has provided us with two of the letters that
she has used in the past to communicate with students and warn
them of the consequences of their misbehavior. (link to template)
Assignment
Create a hypothetical scenario in which you would
have to use these letters. Include the setting, the student behavior
that prompted action from you, and how you would follow up to
handle the problem. In the letters, plug in the specific information
based on your scenario.
