Use the following Conflict Capsules to determine which of the 9 lessons in this module most apply. Discuss with your colleagues what to do. Apply the Stop, Look, Listen, Respond approach to conflict to handle these situations.

  • Conflict Capsule: in a class of 40 students, you call a student by the wrong name. He looks from side to side, laughs at you, and looks at others near him without responding to your question.

  • Conflict Capsule: A colleague has repeatedly borrowed your personal books and not returned them for months. How can you maintain your collegial relationship and still get your books back?
