Introduction
Do you spend more time calculating grades at the
end of the semester than you do teaching the class? Is your grading
formula more complicated than the federal budget? Does your gradebook
resemble the diary of a deranged statistician? Do you dread the
inevitable student question: "How am I doing in your class?"
If you answered an embarrassed "yes" to
any of these questions, MicroGrade can help.
MicroGrade is a grading and class management program,
available in both Macintosh and Windows formats. The software
allows faculty to create and maintain a gradebook, track student
progress, produce a variety of reports, post information on the
Internet
and keep their sanity. This lesson provides an overview
of the various features offered by MicroGrade, allowing faculty
to determine its potential usefulness in their classes.
