This lesson introduces you to the nature of
a learning disability, and describes steps you can take so your
course content is accessible to students with learning disabilities.

- Define the essential characteristics of a learning
disability
- Know some of the typical patterns of behavior
that may be signs of a learning disability.
- Know how to refer students to the Learning Disabilities
Assessment process.
- Identify some of the areas in which students
may have difficulty
- Be able to describe some accommodations for learning
disabilities.
