Prewriting Activities
Introduction
We recognize the writing process as consisting of
three stages: prewriting, writing, and rewriting. While all three
stages are essential, the more time and energy invested in the
first stage-prewriting-the more accessible and manageable the
latter stages become. This lesson offers explanations for a variety
of prewriting techniques and sample activities to illustrate the
myriad uses of these techniques.
