Daedalus may seem a bit daunting at first because it does so much, but new users should realize that it is essentially "bullet proof." It has been around a long time and rarely crashes. The best approach is to simply wade in and play with it. Once you have a general understanding of its features, you will be able either to use it as a teaching/learning tool (if you are teaching in one of the CAI labs, limited to English, English Skills, or Graphics faculty) or as a resource to which you may refer students for individual or group projects
