Introduction

This lesson contains information about writing software available in the Learning Resource Center. You may want to use this software to augment your teaching. Students may access this material in the LRC. It is also possible to schedule a visit to the LRC with your class or to reserve one of the CAI (computer assisted instruction) classrooms for an orientation if you are teaching online. To do so call Trish Dupart at x 2666 or email dupart@sbcc.net.

The faculty member will familiarize themselves with a variety of software in support of writing activities.

  1. Provide faculty with knowledge of writing software currently available to students, regardless of discipline area

  2. Illustrate how faculty can supplement their instruction when assigning writing projects to their students

  3. Enhance faculty confidence in technology as a pedagogically sound enhancement of traditional writing instruction
